DUSK
Dusk sits in that space where change happens too slowly to notice.
It doesn’t move in clear steps, but in quiet shifts — colour into colour, sound into sound — repeating, yet never returning to where it began. What feels like a loop slowly reveals itself as something else entirely: a gradual drift, a soft transformation.
There’s no clear beginning, no defined end. Just a sense of being carried forward, almost without realising it. Like watching the light fade without marking the moment it becomes night, or feeling warmth arrive without noticing when it replaced the cold.
“Dusk mirrors something deeply human — the way we change without seeing it happen. The way habits, emotions, and patterns repeat until they quietly reshape us. We move through phases thinking we are standing still, only to realise, much later, that we’ve become someone else entirely.” Adnan Joubran

MEMORIES
“Memories” is a poignant and evocative track that serves as the emotional core of Seif Abdalla’s short film, “The Realm.” This deep composition explores themes of displacement, disappearance, and exile, resonating with the struggles faced by those separated from their homes and loved ones. Adnan Joubran’s masterful playing on the Oud provides a haunting voice to the pain, weaving a tapestry of sound that echoes the sorrows of the displaced. Accompanying the Oud are lush strings and ethereal synths, creating a vast soundscape that evokes a profound sense of longing. Each note invites reflection and introspection, offering a window into the heart of those who endure loss and separation. “Memories” not only enhances the film’s narrative but also stands alone as a powerful testament to the human experience. Through its haunting melodies and emotive instrumentation, this track captures the essence of sorrow and hope, leaving listeners with a lasting impression of empathy and understanding.

BEFORE & AFTER
An eerily soulful ode that longs for an end to the ongoing nightmare, where Adnan Joubran layers sounds from Gaza’s streets and mosques, captured before the devastation of the latest war, and immerses listeners in the heart of the struggle. Throughout the haunting drone
sounds in the track, listeners are transported to the daily reality of those living in Gaza. As Adnan
reminds us, the surveillance, drones and danger were already ever-present in their lives – well
before the 7th of October – and symbolise a turbulent history under oppression and yearning for
freedom.
